After a long time being quiet :)

Oh wow it has been a while hasn't it!

Over the past few years I've been out of the blogging world because of my two newest creations - my son and daughter :)

I went back to University 2 in that time as well, to finally get my Bachelor degree - as a double major in Psychology and Sociology, because what else do you do while working and raising two kids? Lol!

Then I broke my arm last year in two places (OUCH) which was ever so clever of me (stocking soap ingredients in the lather lab no less) which meant I had to learn how to type one handed, and use my mouse left handed to complete assignments - but all better now!

As both my kidlets are now nearly in school, I've started getting a little bit of extra time back, and wanted to give you all a big "Hello!!!" How have you been? Does anyone still read blogs anymore, or is it all Instagram these days :P

Fastest yet!

I love challenging myself, so this morning I timed myself making 200 soaps, start to finish including clean up, and cutting the previous days 150 soaps. 1 hour and 28 minutes from the time I set foot in the shed, till when I walked back into the house! O.O

There is nothing I tell you, NOTHING, like having a baby, and from the time they are 6 weeks old, trying to run your full time soap business around them to teach you super time management skills :)

What do you do to keep on the ball? And not just with soap!

Cause we like soap seas :)

I just love looking at trays of uncut soap logs. Something so fresh and bountiful about it - ahhhh!

Busy busy busy!

Just under 1/3 of my latest large order done. I tell ya's, working around a 1 year old is my biggest challenge YET!!

That time of year again! Christmas Soap!

Just like opening a pressie! I love taking the lid off my moulds the next morning, and seeing a sea of wavy soap tops :) Here they are - Candy Cane, scented with my unique blend of Raspberry fragrance and Peppermint essential oil...

New Ritual...

Hey everyone!

I got some fresh new fragrances imported in from the USA late last year, and among them was a DIVINE rendition of vanilla beans and all things sweet. So I've finally soaped it!

I'll be replacing the current 'Ritual' vanilla and caramel blend with this new one - it's totally amazingly vanillary, buttery yet sweet and rich at the same time - mmmmmmmmm!

We're Moving!

Well it's now official, I move to the new workshop on the 11th of March! It's got so much more storage space with a small mezzanine level, and my office area alone will be a whopping 7m long by 3m wide space - wahhooooo!

I'll have to take a 'moving holiday' for two weeks in march, from the 1st to the 15th, to do all the usual packing and running around like a headless chook that moving makes you do *grin*

I'm so excited!!!! Yay!!!!!

Busy Day :D

I've been a busy little soaper this week - body butters, herbal balms, lip balms, sugar scrubs and soapies - phew :)

Here's a piccy of my main work bench before the action hits - I clean up at the end of each day, ready for the next! I have a big work table right next to the bench, that all the goodies go on :D

The lather lab always smells sooooooooooo good when sugar scrubbies are on the menu!

Here's a day's worth of 300 soapies all cut and lined up, ready to be tidying up and shelved for curing, then another 300 gets made the next day and so on :)
